Love New Brighton: Calling all local artists.

Momentary Art Project: call for entry to the next exhibition

What do you love about New Brighton? Whatever it is, from the present or the past, can you capture it using photography, painting or a sculpture? If so, the Momentary Art Project (MAP), based at Marine Point, New Brighton, are interested in seeing your creations.

Following its inaugural and colourful Fish and Ships exhibition in the unit loaned to MAP by Neptune Developments, MAP is planning a six week long ‘Love New Brighton’ display of art work, photography, craft work and sculpture based on New Brighton, both past and present.

The exhibition is open to all, with works to go on display being selected by a panel of local business representatives.

A small non-refundable administration charge of £2.00 is payableby each artist and there is a limit of 2 submissions per artist. The hand-in day for submissions is Saturday the 9th of February between 9am and 11am.

The exhibition will be on show from 15th March to 25th April in the in the unit between Hungry Horse and Travelodge at Marine Point. The current colourful ‘Fish and Ships’ exhibition will remain on view until 1st March, after which MAP is planning to auction some of the fish on display. Any funds raised will be split between a local charity and a fund to enable MAP to continue.
