Momentary Art Project: call for entry to the next exhibition
What do you love about New Brighton?
Whatever it is, from the present or the past, can you capture it using
photography, painting or a sculpture? If so, the Momentary Art Project
(MAP), based at Marine Point, New Brighton, are interested in seeing
your creations.
Following its inaugural and colourful Fish and
Ships exhibition in the unit loaned to MAP by Neptune Developments, MAP
is planning a six week long ‘Love New Brighton’ display of art work,
photography, craft work and sculpture based on New Brighton, both past
and present.
The exhibition is open to all, with works to go on display being selected by a panel of local business representatives.
A small non-refundable administration charge of £2.00 is payableby each
artist and there is a limit of 2 submissions per artist. The hand-in
day for submissions is Saturday the 9th of February between 9am and
11am.
The exhibition will be on show from 15th March to 25th
April in the in the unit between Hungry Horse and Travelodge at Marine
Point. The current colourful ‘Fish and Ships’ exhibition will remain on
view until 1st March, after which MAP is planning to auction some of the
fish on display. Any funds raised will be split between a local charity
and a fund to enable MAP to continue.
